Doha Debates

NYU Abu Dhabi is pleased to have representatives from the Doha Debates visiting campus on Tuesday, March 27th, from 4:30-5:30pm, to talk about the Doha Debates. The discussion will include past topics, what students would like to see discussed at future debates and general ideas. The representatives will also show short highlights of previous debates.

Any of your students or colleagues interested in debate are invited to join this session, which will take place on the 4th floor of Sama Tower (on Electra Street, next to the NMC). Please feel free to circulate this invitation as you see fit. I realize the event may take place during your spring break but hope a few of your students or colleagues may be in town and interested in joining. RSVPs may be sent to: nyuad.community.outreach@nyu.edu.

The Doha Debateare chaired by the award-winning former BBC correspondent and interviewer Tim Sebastian, who founded them in 2004 and secured their editorial independence. The Doha Debates are a unique venture in the Arab world, providing a battleground for conflicting opinions and arguments about the major political topics of the region.
